Spiritual Battle: The Devil’s Intentions
If you believe in God you’ll know what this means. We are faced with spiritual battles because as we know, there’s a God and there’s a Devil: as in Good vs Evil. Good spirits comes from God, while bad spirits comes from the Devil. Now lets make this a bit more realistic. See, good spirit can also come from the Devil because the Devil is a liar and liars have to sugar coat everything to lure you into doing what they want you to do. That’s what the Devil does. Once he gets you all comfortable, he then goes in with plan B-the plan to destroy you. You may say well Kanye West said he sold his soul to the devil and he’s having fun. Well, the ultimate price to pay is yet to come if he doesn’t seek salvation.
I know people who despise the existence of God may ask; well if God is such a good God, why did he send Satan down to earth? My answer is; like every father, God our father in heaven also punishes for wrongdoings. Satan defied God and wanted to take his place; so his punishment was being kicked out of heaven. After Satan’s dismissal from heaven, he became bitter and set his mind on taking as many people as he can down with him because he knew he’ll never get another opportunity to enter the kingdom of heaven. That’s why he deceived Eve in the garden. He fell from grace and wants us all to fall from grace as well.
He’s just a rebellious angel who is mad about his punishment. Instead of blaming God, blame Satan for his misbehavior. He Satan could have also remained humble and ask for forgiveness, but he decided to remain rebellious. After being cast out of heaven, he decided to go on a rampage and take mankind down with him. Disobedient youth get kicked out of their parents house all the time and a lot of them do go on the rampage of committing horrendous acts. I’m not saying they are also the devil; I’m saying that disobedience often leads to punishment of that kind and more.
If you want to argue that God should have destroyed Satan, I’ll say you do have a good point; but parents don’t just up and kill their child for doing wrong. A lesson was to be learned from his dismissal from heaven, but he refused to recognize his mistake and humbly seek forgiveness from God. Here we are dealing with his evil plans and also falling short of the glory of God because we are getting all caught up in all his lies and traps. God didn’t make Satan an evil being. Satan decided to be evil out of anger and that’s why there’s evil in the world. Satan’s diabolical persona was the cause of Adam and Eve falling short of the glory of God. Satan was the one that introduced evil to mankind. Now had Adam and Eve been obedient, they wouldn’t have listened to Satan, the serpent.
So lets say you have a point for being mad at God. Okay, but God saw Satan’s wicked intentions of wagging a spiritual war against mankind. He God saw that mortal beings cannot win battles against immortal beings and that’s why he sent his son Jesus Christ to die and through his blood we can also fight this spiritual battle through prayers.
Ephesians 6:10-12 declares, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” This text teaches some crucial truths: we can only be strong in the Lord’s power, it is God’s armor that protects us, and our battle is against spiritual forces of evil in the world. “What The Bible Says About Spiritual Warfare”
A powerful example of someone strong in the Lord’s power is Michael, the archangel, in Jude 9. Michael, likely the most powerful of all of God’s angels, did not rebuke Satan in his own power, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” Revelation 12:7-8 records that in the end times Michael will defeat Satan. Still, when it came to his conflict with Satan, Michael rebuked Satan in God’s name and authority, not his own. It is only through our relationship with Jesus Christ that Christians have any authority over Satan and his demons. It is only in His Name that our rebuke has any power. “What The Bible Says About Spiritual Warfare”
Therefore, the choice is still all yours.
Others may say, why can’t God just destroy Satan? Well, the time is coming when Satan and all of his disciples will be destroyed. Well why would God allow Satan to continuously deceive a whole bunch of people? The main question you should be asking yourself is-why should I allow the Devil to take me down with him when God has given me the power over Satan? You can’t sit there all your life asking why why why when you clearly have an opportunity to be saved from eternal damnation. God’s word has revealed everything you need to know about salvation. Satan allowed disobedience and anger to get the best of him. Don’t follow the same pattern. God wants you to be saved and He has made it possible for you to resist the Devil. Pray a prayer of the archangel Michael. God did not abandon us. He has given us the needed weapons to fight back.
Don’t be the one to go down with Satan and totally miss out on the kingdom that God has prepared for us. A kingdom without any influence of the Devil for that matter. A kingdom where there will be no more suffering or evil of any kind! Jesus is our reassurance and that’s why when he rose from the dead, he said in John 14:3: “And when I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself.” God reassured us a chance of salvation through the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, the strategies the Devil uses to get us all trapped is too hard to resist for many. Gaining the whole world and losing your soul isn’t worth it.
The things of the world is what the Devil uses to have us all distracted from the will of God. In Matthew 4:8-9, Satan offered the world to Jesus: the devil took Jesus up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Well, our Lord Jesus refused to bow down to him; so then who did Satan offer the world to? Mankind perhaps? Exactly so and if you can sit and think of those in power today and how they control everything, you’ll agree with me that they were the ones who accepted the Devil’s offer. Those in absolute power took on the Devil’s offer, bowed down to him and are worshiping him. They sold their souls to the Devil. That’s why they own unimaginable riches and are so powerful. But as the Bible as declared in Malachi 4:1-3, “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the LORD Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall. Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things,” says the LORD Almighty.
Let me let you in on this, the Devil’s sole purpose is to turn you away from God. While you’re turned away from God, he intends to keep it that way until you die. The Devil knows that if you die while in that state of being turned away from God, you will also face eternal damnation along with him. That’s what the Devil wants for me and you. He’s the biggest terrorist and suicide bomber of all time.
The Devil brings upon us the spirit of envy, the spirit of lies, the spirit of lust, the spirit of fear, the spirit of death, and so on. Better yet, let me drop all the Biblical references:
Deaf and dumb spirit (Mark 9:17-29)

Therefore, when we pray; we have to ask God to destroy these spirits from taking possession of us or our children. We are capable of recognizing these spirits when it comes upon us by the simple ability of knowing right from wrong. Sometimes these spirits gets transfer on to our children and we got the nerve to say oh it’s in our blood. No the heck it isn’t! Okay when last has medical doctors ever diagnosed a behavioral problem by doing a blood test? I haven’t heard of one. We have to pray against evil spirits instead of accepting it as part of us because these evil spirits sets us on the path of eternal damnation.
